Abstract
Evaluation is the most important tools for determining the quality of a process and Curriculum. The mission of universities are teaching, research and Health care service. In this study were evaluated teaching quality of faculty members and instructors of Hamedan’s Farhangian University branches from the students’ points of view. This research is a descriptive survey. The population of this descriptive survey, 1170 subjects, included all male and female students admitted in Shahid Bahonar and Shahid Maghsudi branches. The sample of 530 students was randomly selected. The data-collection instrument in this study was Mycourse scale. The questionnaire consisted of 50 questions based on the five-choice Likert scale and included 8 components (i.e. the techniques of classroom management, appropriate classroom behavior, the focus on and maintenance of attention to the lesson, the preparation of review and practice, inquiry skills, the employment of different teaching methods, the creation of a positive atmosphere in the classroom and the rate of expressing problem-solving strategies in the classroom). The reliability of the questionnaire was calculated by using the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The analysis of data revealed showed that the t value was significant at P≥0.05. In addition, there was a significant difference between the two branches in terms of the components of teaching quality. There were significant differences between the eight components of teaching quality in terms of special and general courses. The teaching quality of general courses in the eight components was less than those of special courses. The teaching quality of faculty members and instructors of Farhangian University branches in Hamadan was measured to be higher than average in the components of Mycourse scale from the students’ points of view. Evaluation as a valuable source of reliable information for feedback to teachers in order to improve the quality of education is supreme.
