Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of transformational leadership dimensions of school principals in school organizational learning. The population of study consisted of all 548 primary school teachers in Qorveh city. From this population, a sample of 225 teachers was selected by simple random sampling method based on Morgan’s table. The research method was correlational through structural equation modeling. For data collection, Bass and Avolio’s (1997) Transformational Leadership Questionnaires and Neefe’s (2001) Organizational Learning Questionnaire were used. To determine the reliability and validity of the instruments, Cronbach's alpha and confirmatory factor analysis were used. The results proved the optimal reliability and validity of the instrument. Confirmation path analysis was used to analyze the data using Lisrel software. The results showed that the dimensions of transformational leadership of principals had a positive and significant effect on organizational learning of the school at the level of 0.05. The four dimensions of transformational leaderships of principals were able to explain 24% of the variance of school organizational learning, which had a value of t=7.58, which indicated the significance of the variance of organizational learning explained by the dimensions of transformational leadership of school principals.
